Winner: Best Bathroom Storage Solution – Ideal Home Bathroom Awards 2026.

Ideal Home’s judges chose our Chester range for its freestanding flexibility, saying it lets you fit storage into any spare gap in your bathroom. The Tallboy makes the most of vertical space, offering generous storage on a slim footprint. See the award winners.

Perfect storage for any small bathroom

Bring calm, practical storage into your bathroom with the Chester light wood bathroom tallboy. Designed with a soft oak-effect finish, slatted detailing and handleless doors, this tall bathroom cabinet gives towels, toiletries and everyday essentials a neater place to live.

This large unit makes the most of vertical space while keeping a slim footprint. It’s ideal for smaller bathrooms, en-suites and awkward corners where wider furniture won’t work. Pair it with pieces from the Chester Bathroom Furniture Collection for a pulled-together look.

Tall bathroom storage without the bulk

Bathrooms work better when the daily clutter has somewhere to go. This slim bathroom storage unit gives you height rather than width, helping you organise towels, toiletries, spare toilet rolls and cleaning products without crowding the room.

If you’re working with limited floor space, a tallboy is a smart place to start. Browse our wider tall bathroom storage units for more vertical storage options.

Seven shelves for everyday essentials

Inside, the Chester tallboy offers seven shelves in total, with four adjustable shelves and three fixed shelves. Each shelf supports up to 5kg, with a 35kg total weight capacity across the cabinet.

Adjust the shelf height by 6.4cm to suit your routine, whether you’re storing folded towels, taller bottles, skincare, spare soaps or toilet roll storage. It’s bathroom storage that works around real homes, not showroom-perfect shelves.

Light wood style with Chester character

The oak-effect finish brings a softer, more natural look to your bathroom cabinet, while the slatted Chester design adds texture without making the space feel busy.

The handleless doors keep the front clean-lined and easy to live with, especially in narrow bathrooms where protruding handles can quickly become annoying. For more compact storage styles, explore our bathroom storage cabinets.

Made for your routine

Bathroom furniture has to deal with moisture, movement and daily use. The water-resistant melamine finish helps this bathroom cupboard handle everyday splashes, while the included anti-tip straps add reassurance in busy homes.

Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding bleach or abrasive cleaners to help protect the finish over time.

Complete the Chester look

Use this light wood tallboy as a standalone bathroom storage cabinet, or coordinate it with the Chester under sink storage cabinet to make better use of basin space.

For morning routines, pair it with a matching mirror cabinet from our bathroom mirror cabinets range, or browse all bathroom furniture to build a calmer, more organised space.
